After the take over in 3rd December, 2003 from Agonaman Credit Union, it became Swedru Teachers’ Cooperative Credit Union- Nyarkrom Branch. The takeover was due to some challenges that characterized the operations of the Agonaman union, paving the way for the STCCU to transform it into one of its branches to help restore confidence in its activities.

After a take over from the then Nsaba Community Credit Union in March, 2011 there was a Swedru Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union-Nsaba Branch.

There was a take over from the New Era Credit Union in June 2012 to Swedru Teachers’ Co-operative Credit Union – Bobikuma Branch

The inauguration of STCCU – KASOA Branch was done under his chairmanship of Mr. John Egyin Buadu, a retired director of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) who is also the current Board Chairman of STCCU on the Tuesday 9th October, 2018. With the General Manager Mr. Joseph Acquaye, other B.O.D members, committees, and the distinguished members and staff of STCCU also graced the occasion. STCCU KASOA Branch is the sixth(6th) of the union nation wide.
